Runners Honored at 4th Annual LPS Rally

LPS runners“Life is a marathon,” students were told as the entire school assembled to celebrate Amy Davis and her Texas running mate, Claudine Nicholas. Running in her fourth marathon for LPS and her 13th overall, Amy has raised over $50,000 for the school as a charity runner for LPS through the John Hancock Non Profit Program. Claudine, whose mother is from Boston, has family members with learning challenges and has set a fundraising goal of $15,000. “I consider it a great privilege to run for Learning Prep,” she said. Claudine has experienced many physical challenges of her own and shared with the students her message of hope through hard work and mental toughness.

Serving students ages 10-22 with complex language-based learning challenges such as dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, limited social pragmatics, and executive functioning challenges.
