There’s a great story about a swimmer who finished eighth – dead last – in his race. Upon touching the wall and viewing the clock, he leaped from the pool, air- punching with excitement. Spectators were amused by this but his coach understood; though he finished last, the swimmer had beaten his personal goal and was thrilled.

In our experience, students understand that progress is made in steps, and those steps come with the help of their teachers and counselors who celebrate with them even the smallest victories.  And that is how it should be, because the Learning Prep experience is about the self-confidence that comes in stages with being accepted, coming to know that one can learn, and pursuing one’s potential for achievement and happiness.

If this sounds familiar, if Learning Prep has made a difference in the life of someone in your family, or perhaps your own life, please remember a time before LPS and what it was like.  Then remember that this wonderful school has helped thousands of students for nearly a half century – but this it cannot do on tuition dollars alone.  For several years now The Family & Friends Fund has been instrumental in making possible: educational tools such as computers, software, textbooks, art supplies, teacher training and every area touched by the school budget.

Please know that your gifts help our teachers and counselors make the small changes that result in growth and confidence for all our students.  To keep LPS strong, please join us in supporting the school this year by considering a gift to The Family & Friends Fund.

Please help our faculty help our exceptional students.  With your support, we can give them the resources to continue to make a difference in their lives.  I’m sure you’ll agree that nothing is more important than that.

Best wishes,

Executive Director
