PIE Executive Committee election ballots due

Partners in Education is led by an Executive Committee consisting of five parents, elected by the parent body, and five LPS administrators. The five parents represent the parent body as follows: (1) for the elementary school (grades 3-5); (1) for the middle school (grades 6-8); (1) for the high school (grades 9-10); (1) for the high school (grades (11-12); and (1) at-large member (grades 3-12). You are encouraged to refer to the Protocols of the Learning Prep School Partners In Education sent to you last week for details attendant to the PIE Executive Committee.

The LPS administrators on the PIE Executive Committee include the Executive Director, the Chief Operating Officer, the EMS Principal, the HS Principal, and the HS Supervisor of Counseling Services.

Important dates to remember:

April 12th: All letters of interest are due no later than April 12th. Submit a letter of interest identifying the grade span your child will be in for school year 2018-19, indicating whether you are a candidate to represent that grade span or the at-large representative. Include a brief biography of no more than ten lines that will be shared with general parent membership on the ballot.
April 25th: No later than this date, a ballot with a list of all candidates, accompanied with a brief biography and the grade span level they wish to represent, will be sent electronically to all LPS parents/guardians.
May 2nd: All completed ballots must be returned no later than May 2nd. Ballots must be sent electronically to: dworcester@learningprep.org
May 9th: Ballots will have been counted and the names of those elected will be sent electronically to all parents/guardians.
May 17th: Initial meeting of the PIE Executive Committee @ 8:30am in the Community Room in the LPS high school facility.
