2009 – 2010 Wrap Up and Fall 2010 Fund Raisers
June 2010
Our 40th Anniversary celebration on May 22nd was spectacular…those who attended can vouch for that! Our silent and live auctions raised over $23,000.00, so we thank you for your continual support.
The following major fall fund raisers and dates have been set for the 2010-2011 school year. I have established these dates and times with the companies based on our own 2010-2011 school calendar, and see no conflicts. These two events have proven to be fabulous profit makers and usually yield excellent start up and operation funds for student activities.
ENTERTAINMENT 2011 COUPON BOOKS
Our sale begins on Sept.10th and ends Sept. 24th. (2 week sale) – These books have been greatly improved for this coming year, and will sell for $30.00 each, a slight raise from $25.00 last year! These books are fabulous, and should be on everyone’s shopping list! PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE yours from anyone but us!!
MEADOW FARMS – for Christmas 2010 (A NEW FUND RAISING COMPANY for LPS)
Our sale begins on Oct. 8th and ends on October 22nd. (2 week sale) We have dropped Sally Foster after many years. Sally changed their company this past year and the way they did it will not help us make the money we need. They dropped our profit margin from 50% to 40%, and now have a minimum $20 buy in…also; everything had to be done on-line, making it difficult for some families to participate. Meadow Farms uses the same wrapping paper manufacturer, and their catalog is far superior. Let’s give them a chance!
Our
Box Tops for Education ongoing
fund raiser continues to serve a double purpose. We do raise a few hundred
extra dollars each year as well as provide students with on-campus jobs from
this long-time successful program. Trimming, counting and packaging skills
are utilized to make the collection of these items so valuable, so keep them
coming in as you cut them out! General Mills runs the program, but many
companies are now carrying these valuable certificates. Check out
participating products at boxtops4education.com.
Our
Funding Factory project is also
quick and easy money. Help us recycle your old, used, worn out inkjet and/or
laser toner cartridges, plus your old cell phones, and I’ll send them in for
cash! The company pays for shipping on these as well. We get money for the
little inkjet cartridges and even more for the big laser cartridges and cell
phones. So if you are not recycling with another program, please recycle
with us.
Our school is also enrolled in the
Target Take Charge of Education Program,,
as many parents & supporters do shop at Target, both in store and
on-line…All you have to do is stop at the customer service desk at your
favorite Target store and register your purchases to benefit our
program…it’s that easy…and on line, be sure to use our School ID #8359 in
order for us to get credit, and thank you. Remember, holiday shopping begins
NOW!
Learning Prep School has enrolled In

search you do on line. WOW! That will add up! So support your school and do
