The transition and career education programs at Learning Prep helped Zak Kuhn '14, to become more independent and learn practical life skills. He attended a transition program at Thames Academy, receiving a scholarship to Mitchell College where he is now enrolled.

March 2014, Zak was invited to speak before a group of senators and representative at the Massachusetts State House, where he has been an intern. The purpose of the meeting was to protect state funding for schools like LPS.
